School is out for summer as children and parents look for activities to enjoy during the holiday.
Sefton Council’s Be Active programme is meeting the needs of families for five weeks of the Summer break, with a varied programme that will be fun for children and young people while keeping them healthy and giving parents a rest too.
Be Active caters for children anywhere between 2-16 years of age, and this year includes football camps with Everton FC, Rampworx skateboard sessions, Born to Move dance classes and dance mashup workshops, baby ballet, gymnastics, fitness bootcamps and much more.
All sessions are delivered by qualified professionals who are approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Cllr. Ian Moncur, Cabinet Member for Health and Well Being at Sefton Council said:
“While the summer holiday from school is great for pupils who enjoy a break from the learning environment, it can also feel like a long time, especially for parents looking to stretch a household budget.
“I am really pleased to see that year on year, the team at Active Sefton are really creative to make sure they put together sessions that are varied, engaging and good value for money.”
Tina Pilkington, Development Manager at Active Sefton said:
“Be Active sessions are not only great fun for active children and young people, but also for those who want to discover a new sport or hobby.
“We have an experienced team who go to great lengths to make sure the holiday programme is varied and stimulating. We also understand that families face competing pressures, so we have made sure that all sessions are reasonably priced, with an added discount for those who book in advance.
“I urge any parents thinking about what they are going to do over the summer, to contact us at Active Sefton and find out about Be Active”
