Person fighting for his life after being knocked down on Lord Street

Air ambulances have been called to help rescue a man who was knocked down on Lord Street.

The man was crossing near the the Beales department store on Lord Street this morning, Wednesday 11 December.

His condition is described as serious and an air ambulance has been called to Kings Gardens on standby to rush the man Hospital for immediate treatment.

The road remains closed and a police investigation is underway.

It’s the second incident involving a bus in two months at the same scene.
