Another Lord Street business is set to close down at the end of this month.

Ponden Home Interiors have signs in the window stating that they are closing down.

Another Lord Street store is set to close within a month of the loss of the Peter Jackson jewellery.

Peter Jackson closed down earlier in May 2017 with a call for more action from Sefton Council to boost the street, while an uncertain future hangs over Debenhams as well.

The latest store to shut its doors for good will be Jaeger.

Peter Jackson the Jeweller to close down Lord Street store

Peter Jackson has served customers from its Lord Street in Southport town centre for many years.

The company also has stores in Blackburn, Preston,, Bury and Carlisle, all of which are trading well.

The multi store company is not the first to fall to the hard times and high rates, H&M, Accessorize, Thorntons, BHS are to name a few that have recently closed.

All the staff have been offered positions at Peter Jackson’s other stores and once closed, all repairs and orders will be transferred there.
