RTC causes Lord Street delays

A collision between a BMW and a Honda people-carrier is causing small delays along Lord Street.

Emergency services were called to the Monument on Lord Street at approximately 1pm.

Officers remain at the scene awaiting vehicle recovery. One lane of Lord Street is blocked to traffic.

Engines from Merseyside Fire & Rescue service also attended but have since left the scene.

Air bags deployed inside the people carrier during the incident. The condition of the vehicle’s occupants is unknown.
