The family of a popular school teacher from the outskirts of Southport have led tributes to him after he sadly passed away.
Religious Studies professor Ian Howarth, well known as one of the most popular teachers at the Scarisbrick Hall School, has been described as an ‘inspiration’ by his family.
Son Alex paid tribute to his father, also a much loved member of Holy Trinity Church, in an interview with the Liverpool Echo this week.
He said “We are very proud of everything he achieved in his life and of the huge contribution he made to his community.
“We will miss him very much but are glad that he is now at peace.”
