Rush hour drivers are being warned of a police speed trap on a busy commuter road.
Police mobile speed cameras are in operation this evening on Cambridge Road in an attempt to catch speedsters eager to beat the traffic and get home after work. The notorious rat run is a popular thoroughfare and often drivers will exceed the 30mph and 20mph speed limits.
Drivers are being caught speeding around Hesketh Park and Cambridge Road before officers in a second Police car pull them up on Allerton Road.
Angry drivers have contacted OTS asking to warn others of the speed operation so that nobody else is collared.
