Southport and Dover Athletic played out a scrappy goalless draw at the Merseyrail Community Stadium.
The visitors came closest to opening the scoring in the first half when Ricky Miller’s shot rattled the crossbar from 25 yards out.
Louis Almond twice went close for Southport and, after the break, Will Beasley hit the post.
But both sides cancelled each other out after that, with chances few and far between in the latter stages.
Southport remain in the relegation zone while Dover are three points off the play-off places.
