A top royal made a whistle stop visit to Southport yesterday with barely anyone in the town noticing.
Oblivious residents were kept in the dark over the visit and were only suspicious that real life royalty had come to town after seeing a police escorted motorcade speeding away from the town.
OTS understands that the Princess Royal, known to most as Princess Anne, made a flying visit to the General Register Office at Her Majesty’s Passport Office at Smedley Hydro in Southport.
The Princess was later spotted heading out of the resort towards Liverpool under heavy police escort.
The Princess Royal is also the President of the UK Fashion and Textile Association and while in the area also visited Try and Lilly Limited, Liverpool.
