A Southport travel firm boss says his company has defied all the Brexit scaremongering to sell a record £1m worth of holidays in just one day.
Don Bircham, managing director of Hays Travel North West, has bases in Southport, Bootle, Maghull and Ormskirk, with plans to open in Formby.
He said: “Brexit scaremongering was doing nothing to put off a ‘resilient’ British public from booking their holidays in the sun.”
Hays Travel North West has opened 11 new stores over the last year, and claims to be the UK’s fastest growing independent travel firm.
