Residents praised after 45 minute wait for ambulance
A local resident has praised the work of the local community after six people came to the aid of a male that fell unwell at a bus stop in Birkdale, Monday 2 April 2018.
North West Ambulance service has confirmed that they recieved a call at 18:16 to male that had collapsed on Liverpool Road.
The local resident who wishes to remain anonymous said: “Thank goodness there was so many people helping the man.”
“It’s not right that anyone lying on the floor in these cold wet conditions should have to wait so long.“
The man was later transferred to Southport Hospital once the ambulance finally turned up.
His condition is not thought to be life threatening.
