Southport skies will once again roar with the thunder of the red arrows in a special one off fly past.
The Red Arrows are set to fly over Southport and parts of Lancashire this coming weekend as Speakers from the G7 nations gather for a crunch summit in Chorley.
Chorley MP and speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle has invited counterparts from the legislatures of the world’s leading industrialised economies to his hometown and has promised to “give them a taste of Lancashire”.
The Red Arrows will cover Southport on their route towards Chorley with residents told to look up to the skies just before 1pm on Saturday.
The acrobatic display team consists of 11 pilots, nine of whom fly in the display, and more than 100 support personnel and technicians.
