R.I.P Southport photographer Martyn Snape

Famous Southport photographer Martyn Snape has passed away.

Martyn, a familiar face as the Champion Newspaper photographer for a number of years, was a well known face at many community events and photo calls in Southport since the Champion launched in the 90s.

OTS understands Martyn passed away following a short illness.

Former MP John Pugh said “This is such a shock. Martin was an ever present at all the big occasions in Southport often with a rueful, knowing smile. A kind and good man and a big loss.”
