Quads rasked to reports of people stranded on Southport beach

CALL OUT – 31/07/17 – 00:16 – Southport Quads tasked to reports of a group of people seen on Southport Beach near the end of the pier.

The quads performed a search down to the tide line and along the Pier Channel, whilst HM Coastguard Southport searced by foot around the pier and the Police Helicopter searched from above.

The search was stood down by Holyhead Coastguard with nothing found and the beleif the call was a false alarm.

The quads and crew were washed down and the crew returned home to bed around 2am.

This was also the first incident since switching to our new paging devices last Friday.
