A heartwarming gesture by a much loved Southport landlady is being held to raise funds for the family of a man killed in Southport last week.
Annie McTaggart of the Wellington pub says she is planning an event next Saturday to raise funds for the family of Ventsislav Marginov, 51, who was critically injured and later died after he was beaten up after watching the Champions League final with his two sons.
Annie says: “If anyone has anything of value that I can auction they can bring it to The Wellington anytime .
And I’d ask everyone to share this to maybe make his family aware I’m doing this.”
The fundraiser takes place a week today (Saturday 15 June) at the Wellington Pub Eastbank Street.
