The head teacher at Linaker Primary has tested positive for the coronavirus, parents have been told.
The school’s board of governors say Mrs Brown, the head at Linaker, developed symptoms of the virus and is now isolating.
A small number of pupils who came into contact with the head have also been told to stay at home, but some concerned parents say they now want all teachers to take a test.
The worried parents say they can’t be sure that their children’s teachers have kept far enough away from Mrs Brown and they should also be isolating.
One concerned father told OTS “We have been told that the head mistress of Linaker primary school has tested positive for covid 19 and we have just recieved a newsletter from the school.
“I’m rather worried and think all the teachers should have a test due to being in contact with her.”
The school say they are closely monitoring the situation and have spoken with Public Health England, following all advice.
Children have been told they must continue to attend classes as the school remains open, provided they do not show any symptoms of the virus.
