Southport kick off the New Year with a trip to the 1885 Arena to face Chester.
The two teams came head-to-head last week on Boxing Day at the Pure Stadium, with the Blues coming away 1-3 winners.
Last time out, both sides had their festive periods dampened with defeats.
Whilst Liam Watson’s side was well beaten 3-0 away to Altrincham, Chester lost 0-1 against Curzon Ashton at home.
Only a point separates the two sides in the Vanarama National League North table, with Southport able to over take their opponents with a victory.
To do so, the Port defence will need to contain Akwasi Asante, who has scored 14 goals so far this campaign, including one in the last game between the pair.
The two sides also faced each other at the start of 2019, with a goalless last New Year’s Day.
Watson will be hoping to come out on top this time round in order to start the New Year strongly.
