Southport welcome Chester to the Pure Stadium as they look to continue their good form.
The 4-1 win over Blyth Spartans before Christmas provided an early present for Port fans who made the long journey to the North East.
Today’s opponents, Chester, will he looking to leapfrog Liam Watson’s side in the table with a victory this afternoon.

The stand-out player for Chester this campaign has been Akwasi Asante, who bagged his 13th league goal of the season in his sides 2-1 victory over Bradford (Park Avenue) at the end of November.
After a strong stint on loan with the Seals in 2018, he has certainly continued his strong form since signing with the club permanently.
When these two sides came head-to-head on Boxing Day last season, the Port came away 3-0 winners, as David Morgan grabbed a double.
Meanwhile in the most recent meeting, on New Year’s Day, the game finished in a goalless draw at the Deva Stadium.
Liam Watson will hoping his side can produce a victory in this meeting in order to strengthen his teams playoff position heading into the New Year.
