A specialist school has received a grant from a national community fund to enable them to host more educational days out.
Presfield High School and Specialist College on Preston New Road in Southport, a specialist school for children on the autistic spectrum, received a £450 grant in Police Mutual’s national community sponsorship programme, Force for Good.
This is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to support the well-being of the police family and invites members of the force to nominate causes that improve the lives and well-being of their local communities.
Nationally, the project gave away £50,000 in grants during the last six months to 193 groups, ranging from £100 to £1,000.
Retired police officer Stephen Swinnerton nominated Presfield School, where his son, Daniel, is in his final year.
