Ronnies Bistro and Bar on Southport’s Bold Street is due to be auctioned next month by auctioneer Pugh, as part of a sale of more than 100 properties and plots of land.
The well-known Italian restaurant which closed earlier this year has been given a guide price of £175,000. It covers 3,500 sq ft over two storeys and includes a large open-plan dining area, commercial kitchen, walk-in fridge, toilets and staff areas as well as parking.
Pugh managing director, Paul Thompson, said: “Ronnies was a well-loved family restaurant, occupying a great spot in Southport town centre. It would be fantastic to see the property given a new lease of life in the hands of an imaginative new owner.
“This is a substantial double-fronted commercial property and, being right in the heart of the town’s shopping and entertainment district, it could be ideal for a number of different uses, subject to planning consent.”
“Needless to say, we’ve had quite a bit of interest in Ronnies and hopefully an exciting new chapter for the property will be on the horizon if it sells at our auction next month.”
Pugh’s next sale, featuring properties and land across the UK and including the former Ronnies Bistro and Bar, will be held online on 9 December. For more details and to view the full auction catalogue, go towww.pugh-auctions.com
Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March, Pugh has sold lots totalling over £28m at its auctions, which have been held on the firm’s online platform.
