POLICE WARNING | Pickpockets at Southport Southport food and drink festival

The weekend, June 2nd and 3rd, the annual Southport food and drink festival will be held at Victoria Park.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said:

“This event usually attracts large crowds and if the weather holds, this year should be no exception. With large crowds there is always the risk of ‘pickpockets’, so always keep purses, wallets and keys close to you and safe.

Our officers will be on duty and patrolling Victoria Park and the other parks and gardens of the town over the weekend.
