Police warn dog owners of suspicious pellets found in Hesketh Park

4th March 2021

Local police have received two reports from dog owners that their dogs have ingested pink pellets discarded on Hesketh Park this week.

Sefton Police said: “As a precautionary measure both dogs were taken to the vets shortly after ingesting the pellets and are safe and well.

“Officers are currently working to establish the source of the pellets and whether they are harmful.

“We don’t wish to worry anyone but would remind dog owners to take extra care when in the park due to reports of these pink pellets.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact @MerPolCC or call 101. You can also contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
