Police will be using special powers to remove large groups of youngsters gathering in the town centre tonight.
A dispersal zone has been created to help combat antisocial behaviour in the area of Southport over the Halloween period.
The dispersal zone will be in place from: 3:00pm on Sunday 30th October 2022 until 01:00am on Tuesday 1st November 2022 after which it will be reviewed and, if necessary, extended.
The dispersal zone is just one tool used to help combat anti-social behaviour in the area which has been causing damage to property in the locality and putting the community at risk of injury.
The zone will cover all areas of Southport within the boundaries of:
Marine Drive, Esplanade, Promenade, Coronation Walk, Portland Street, Talbot Street, Eastbank Street, Virginia Street, Southport Railway Station, Hall Street, Hawkshead Street, Queens Road, Park Road, Park Road West, Promenade, Fairway
