Police set up a roadside speed trap in New Cut Lane, Birkdale, Southport, at about 2pm this afternoon, Friday 28 September.

A speed camera van was parked up catching speeding motorists leaving and coming into Southport.

Drivers caught speeding will receive fines/points by post.
