Police respond to major accident near Riverside park

Emergency services are currently dealing with a suspected major incident near to Riverside Holiday Park.

Twelve police cars from Lancashire Constabulary and paramedics have attended the scene of a major collision after at least one car lost control and smashed into the central reservation near to the holiday park just after 8.30pm.

Traffic is advised to avoid the area and police have cordoned off the northbound carriageway while an investigation is carried out
