Police raid suspected puppy farm in Southport

Merseyside Police are currently at an address on Balmoral Drive in Southport, Thursday 22 August.

Police and the dogs trust have raised a house on Balmoral Drive this morning over concerns for the welfare of animals in the property.

Officers swooped on the building just after 12pm this afternoon after neighbours raised concerns of suspected mistreatment of dogs in the house.

Officers remain on the scene and evidence bags have been removed.
