Police are investigating reports of a potential drink drive incident after a motorists struck a traffic Island
The driver who appeared to have have turned the wrong way onto Lord Street from Waverley Street just after 10pm crashed into the traffic Island near to the Vincent Hotel
Electrical wires and a lighting Column were damaged in the incident Police were called however the driver, only identified as a woman, fled the scene.
CCTV footage is now being examined
