Detectives say they want to find two men, believed to be from Southport, after they launched a vicious assault on a couple in Liverpool earlier this year.
CCTV footage has been traced back to Southport Station where the two men boarded the train before allegedly committing the vicious attack at Brunswick.
Officers investigating the assault at Brunswick railway station, Merseyside, are today releasing images in connection.
At 8.45pm on the evening of Friday 17 July, a group left a train at Brunswick station having travelled from Southport.
Two men from the group got into an argument with a man stood with his girlfriend in the station and followed him onto the platform.
They then kicked and stamped on the man before his girlfriend attempted to stop them, resulting in her being pushed to the floor where she was also kicked.
Fortunately, the man and woman did not sustain any serious injuries.
Officers believe the men in the CCTV images may have information which could assist their investigation.
