Police called to town centre trouble

Police were called to Shorrock Street in Southport to a group of youths causing trouble.

Officers rushed to the back of the Hungry Monk and Le Boulevard this afternoon after a group of teenage girls and boys were seen causing trouble by a line of bins.

A witness told OTS News that police chased away the group after they tried to set fire to a bin with discarded cigarettes.

It’s the latest in a long line of vandalism related issues in the Cambridge Arcade area after windows were smashed at the Winter Wonderland.
