Police called to Tesco after alleged bust up

Police have been called to a disturbance at a Tesco Express store in Southport after staff were allegedly assaulted by an angry customer.

Officers were called to the Liverpool Road Tesco express store just after 10am this morning after staff rang 999.

It’s believed a customer had become irate and abusive to staff after being refused to be served alcohol.
