27th April 2019

Six police officers rushed to the scene of an alleged disturbance this morning in Southport town centre but no arrests were ever made.

Three police cars and six officers rushed to hotel rooms above a bar on Lord Street just after 7am after neighbours reported hearing loud voices and smashing furniture through the walls.

Emergency dispatch operators immediately sent police to the scene but after a detailed investigation and speaking to all involved, no evidence of a crime could be found.

Officers made sure all occupants were safe and accounted for before departing.
