Police called to suspected suicide bid on trainline

Emergency services are on scene at St lukes Bridge after reports a man was seen sat on top of the bridge looking down on the train line.

Police had originally entered talks with the Male in a bid to talk him down but were unsuccessful and an emergency operation is ongoing.

Eye witnesses on the scene report that emergency services had approached the man but sudden movements caused confusion and the man disappeared from sight.

Trains in and around the area are now at a standstill. An update is expected shortly
