The moon put on a super display overnight that has left some people tickled pink.
The eagerly-awaited pink supermoon followed a glorious sunset in the county on Tuesday that had people taking to social media in their droves.
The ‘pink’ supermoon – or a Paschal full moon – comes about when the full moon occurs at the same time as the moon being at its closest point to the Earth on its orbit – just 221,772 miles away.
It will give the impression of being up to 14 per cent bigger and could seem around 30 per cent brighter.
However, the moon won’t literally turn pink.
