A petition has started up to ban buskers from Southport.
Furious residents say they are sick to the back teeth of having to listen to buskers in the town centre who have no talent.
Margaret Carr, one angry resident, said “With or without talent they set up in empty shop door ways with their expensive music equipment and mikes and then blast our ears with noise.
“This is not against the law: the council can’t or won’t stop them, saying its up to the police to move them on, as if our police force doesn’t have enough to do.
They probably make more money than a normal shop worker any day of the week.
Pure profit, no tax or licence and no ulation of about 1,400 million, it
overheads. What a great enterprise!”
