Peter Kay enjoys fish & chips at the Swan Chip Shop Southport

Comedian Peter Kay was last night at the popular Swan Chip shop on Stanley Street, Southport, Tuesday 16 August.

Louise Wilkinson told OTSNews.co.uk “Peter had cod chips & peas, he was in fine form … So friendly! He was eating with Sian Gibson (fellow comedian in car share program) and his children.”

In June this year Peter Kay was on Ainsdale Beach in Southport, filming for his popular TV sitcom Car Share.

Sefton Council helped to facilitate the shoot at the beach.

A spokesman said: “Beautiful Ainsdale Beach was the venue for Peter Kay and filming for BBC’s Car Share. Film friendly Sefton!”

Peter Kay’s Car Share is set around supermarket assistant manager John Redmond (Peter Kay) and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson (Sian Gibson) and their participation in a company car share scheme.

Whilst driving to and from work in John’s Fiat 500L, the two have conversations whilst listening to fictional radio station Forever FM.

In December 2015, Kay confirmed that a second series had been commissioned, and filming is cirrently taking place at various locations, including Southport.
