Pet FERRET found at St Teresa’s School

A pet ferret was discovered at St Teresa’s Catholic Infant and Nursery School on Everton Road in Birkdale this morning.

The ferret is the domesticated form of the European polecat, a mammal belonging to the same genus as the weasel.

Quick thinking school staff moved to secure the ferret and are appealing for the owner to collect them.

The school said: “Someone’s pet ferret was found in our school grounds this morning.

“It has been captured safely and is at the school.
