Person hit by a train between Formby & Ainsdale

British Transport Police are currently on scene in Formby after a person was struck and killed by a train travelling towards Southport.

The Northern Line is currently blocked between Formby and Ainsdale while emergency services attend the scene

A statement from British Transport Police is expected shortly.

Due to a person being hit by a train between Formby and Ainsdale the Southport and Hunts Cross line is disrupted. Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes. Disruption is expected until 18:45 21/02.

Services on the Hunts Cross and Southport line are currently at stand due to an incident between Formby and Ainsdale. More information will follow.
