Pensioners fury at bus service scrap fear

Pensioners in high park are heartbroken after Merseytravel announced they would lose their vital bus service.

Under a proposed review the number 46a, a vital bus service which goes down Old Park Lane and terminates at the Lane Ends is to be cut to save money for the regional travel organisation.

To compound the misery the 46 will now only run every 20 minutes down Bispham Rd.

This means residents living further than Wennington Road will face a substantial hike in order to get a bus into town.

Local residents are now asking everyone in the area to take part in the consultation to try and change Merseytravel’s minds.
