Pensioner rescued after town wide missing person search

Merseyside Police is appealing for information to find an 81-year-old man who went missing today (Saturday, 2 September) in the Southport area.

Cyril Grant from Staffordshire was last seen around 1.30pm this afternoon on Southport Pier. Extensive enquiries are ongoing to find him. Cyril is also known as Dave.

Cyril is described as white, with grey receding hair, and 5ft 7in tall. When last seen, he was wearing glasses, a black Bomber jacket with a red sports emblem on the pocket, blue trousers and black shoes.
