Loading & Un-loading

Loading and Un-Loading is permitted at the front of Southport Town Hall. Vehicles should not be left at the front of the building and if attending a meeting as part of the loading and un-loading the Councillor/Officer should be asked to move their car. (If operationally possible)

Mayoral Car

The Mayoral Car is permitted to park outside the Town Hall whilst the Mayor is on official duties, an example of this is attending events within the Town Hall, Town Hall Gardens, Full Council, Twinning Events etc. (If operationally possible)

Wedding Car

One Wedding Car is permitted at the Front of Southport Town Hall. NO HORSES OR ANIMALS (Carriages), unless authorised by the Head of Governance & Civic Services. (If operationally possible)

Councillors & Members of Staff Blue Badge Holders

All Councillors and Members of Staff who are blue badge holders are requested to contact the Civic & Mayoral Services Officer/Supervisor to request parking if they require it. Upon authorisation an email will be sent to the Councillor/Member of staff and a copy inserted in “Authorised Users” within this file. There may be times where disabled members of the public request permission to park at the front of the Town Hall. The Civic Attendant on duty is authorised to give access or deny, based on operational requirements. (If operationally possible)

Other Exceptions

From time to time visits are undertaken at Southport-Town Hall of officials and authorisation would be granted and cascaded by the Civic & Mayoral Services Officer/Supervisor for this purpose.
