Panic as ferret gets loose in bad weather

The hunt is on to catch an escaped ferret on the loose in Southport.

The baby ferret, who has not been named, escaped from a home near Forest Road in Southport and was last seen dashing between cars on Haig Avenue this morning.

The baby ferret is thought to be scared and reluctant to be approached.

It’s owner Carla Rigby said the baby girl will be scared and confused, as she urged anyone who spots it to report it immediately and try to safety capture it before anything happens.
