OTS News Food Review | Veronica’s Cafe & Bar on Lord Street, Southport
Bottomless never sounded so good.
The delightful Veronica’s Cafe & Bar on Lord Street, Southport are championing the bottomless brunch, a new and delicious trend that sees you eat and drink as much as you can in an hour and a half.
So we did. And it was good.
My dining partner and I were greeted by polite and attentive staff who quickly seated us in a comfortable booth and began serving us our prosecco.
The clock began.
We started by sharing a Brioche French toast with blueberry and peach compote. A delightfully sweet treat from the shores of France which tantalised the tastebuds.
My dining partner then ordered, with more prosecco of course, the small English breakfast.
A perfectly cooked collection of the finest black pudding, sausage, toast and mushrooms with beans and egg.
I decided on the Veronica’s breakfast. A Hawaiian spiced rump steak with peppers onion and baked eggs cooked to a medium rare perfection.
We then had more prosecco.
The ambient atmosphere and relaxed nature makes this the perfect brunch setting.
The menu is not over facing and the options for lunch and brunch are all mouth watering.
Go bottomless for just £25 or sample an array of the finest wines, beers and cocktails and cherry pick from a brunch menu served Tuesday – Sunday from 9am – 5pm and the bottomless brunch from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
We finished with a desert combination of the Lemon Torte and Chocolate Marquis with iced mango and basil.
Veronica’s has been the saviour of number 88, Lord Street and it’s set to save brunch too
Perfect.
