Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors, based in Derby Street, Ormskirk have recently presented a cheque for £3,950 to Ormskirk Civic Hall following their annual Charity Will Month last November.
Each year, Mike Prendergast, Partner at Dickinson Parker Hill, and his colleagues hold a Charity Will Month to support local charities and good causes and this year Ormskirk Civic Hall was one of the beneficiaries.
Since 2009, the Dickinson Parker Hill Charity Will Month has helped raise almost £150,000 for local charities. Clients from across West Lancashire have benefitted from being able to put in place Wills to ensure their affairs are in order.
Mike Prendergast said, ‘We have helped Ormskirk Civic Hall previously and were delighted to do so again, it is a vital community hub run by dedicated volunteers. We are really pleased to see the monies raised put to good use. All of our staff worked incredibly hard to do this and I want to put on record my thanks to all of them for making this possible.”
Liz Wainwright from the Civic said, ‘Once again we are really grateful for the continued support of Dickinson Parker Hill and their clients. The money raised will be put to good use and will help us carry on providing our services.’
During a busy November, staff at the firm saw hundreds of clients between them to help raise the funds.
Mike Prendergast said ‘The Charity Will Month has once again proved to be very popular. We would like to thanks all those who took part and all of our fantastic staff who helped make this possible.’
