Ongoing incident outside Scarisbrick Hotel

Police and paramedics have swarmed a town centre hotel this afternoon.

Emergency services from both Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance have been called to the Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street just after lunchtime today following a 999 call.

The full circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known and the hotel’s doors have been locked preventing anyone from gaining entry while an investigation is underway.

Two police units, a paramedic first responders vehicle and an ambulance remain on scene.
