Ongoing incident at Albert Road

Police, paramedics and fire crews are in attendance at an ongoing incident on Albert Road.

Albert Road currently remains closed between Saunders Street and Alexandra Road.

The exact nature of the incident is unknown however eyewitnesses have reported a stopped double-decker bus and fire crews inspecting the front garden of a nearby home.

First responder paramedics arrived on the scene at 3.20pm.

Motorists are being directed around the accident by police and are urged to take alternative routes via Queens road and Leicester Street.
