One arrested after Cannabis farm discovered on Chestnut Street

Police have swooped on a Southport cannabis farm and seized a huge drugs haul in an ongoing Merseyside wide operation.

Police officers yesterday raided a property on Chestnut Street in the town before arrested a woman at the residence (Friday 25 August 2017).

The female was taken to a police station in Liverpool for questioning on suspicion of cultivating cannabis plants and also breaching licensing conditions.

It’s thought police were tipped off by a strong marijuana like aroma emanating from the property over the last few weeks.
