Sefton Council has voted to end free parking introduce Sunday parking charges on 22 roads in and around Southport.

Parts of the resort had previously been exempt from parking charges on Sundays, but Sefton Council has now decided to extend charges to Sundays – 11am to 6pm.

This move is set to bring a cash strapped Council £30,000 a year.
