Nicola receives Sefton4Good Status

Nicola Plaistow (Former HR Manager at Sainsbury’s Southport), was recently awarded Sefton4good status at the Bootle Town Hall in view of all her work to support multiple charitable causes across Southport ranging from her long standing volunteering at the Lord Street Gardens in Southport to her work with numerous Community Groups such as Revitalise.

Citizens 4 Good aims to pay tribute to local people whose kindness, support and good deeds improve the lives of their fellow borough residents.

Nominations can be made by anyone who thinks a particular person deserves to be recognised, including friends, neighbours, work colleagues, schools, community organisations and local Councillors.

Councillor David Barton, a prominent campaigner for Southport said:

“Nicola is a true Community Ambassador for Southport. As someone who has previously served as a heralded part of the Sainsbury’s Southport Team for over 30 years, Nicola has partaken in a whole plethora of social inclusion activities to better the lives of others.

Be this regularly attending Community Group Gardening Volunteering Sessions to improve Sefton’s Parks & Greenspaces along Lord Street Gardens since 2010, assisting neighbours and other members of the Birkdale Community in their times of need, Nicola never ceases to impress al those around her by her genuine acts of pure altruism and compassion.

Having myself known Nicola, since I was a young boy visiting the Store with my own family during the Weekend shopping trip, I have observed first hand the consistent kindness and true level of care serially demonstrated by this lady, and I can only regard her too highly as a gold star template for others to look up to.”
