Burglary Arrests.
No1:
Due to a recent increase in Business Burglaries in Southport Town Centre we have been increasing our patrols to disrupt offences. Following further enquiries Samuel Lamberton (37 yrs) from Southport was identified and arrested on 7th September 2019.
Lamberton was arrested on Suspicion of three Burglaries in Southport Town Centre. Following his arrest and subsequent interview, he was charged with three counts of Burglary. He appeared in Court on (09/09/19) where he was sentenced to 6-Months imprisonment.
These offences had occurred;
19th July at Southport Art Centre.
11th August at The Waterfront, Promenade.
5th September at The Scarisbrick Hotel, Southport.
No2:
During the evening of Sunday 8th September, officers responded to a report of Burglary in Fleetwood Road, Southport. A resident had disturbed a male who was attempting to break in to her garage.
The Suspect was initially detained by a neighbour, but managed to flee the scene prior to police arrival. Following an area search the Suspect was located nearby and arrested.
Following Interview; David Bigley, 39 yrs from Hesketh Bank, Lancashire was charged with Residential Burglary. He was remanded in Custody and is due to appear in Court on the (10/09/19).
