Rizzi Caffè & Gelateria has now opened in Crosby. The new caffè is bringing a slice of Italy to Crosby, with its Italian themed menu.
Customers can choose between a delicious range of Italian food, drink and ice cream, including pizza, pasta, panini, ciabatta and baguettes. Italy’s favourite coffee Lavazza is also on the menu, along with San Pellegrino drinks, cakes and tiramisu.
Ice cream lovers will be impressed by Rizzi’s selection of De Roma Italian ice cream, which is available in a range of flavours including millions, cookies and cream, toffee fudge and chocolate brownie.
Rizzi is owned and run by husband and wife, John and Natasha Pyke, along with John’s brother Joe Pyke.
They chose the name Rizzi as it is John and Joe’s Italian grandma’s, Cossima McCabe’s, maiden name. It is their large Italian family and time spent living in Italy that also inspired him to open the caffè.
John said: “I spent every summer holiday in Italy as a child and have always holidayed there as an adult too. I love the Italian culture, food and drink and wanted to bring a taste of Italy to our customers. I’ve always been interested in cooking and was taught about Italian cuisine by my grandma and aunties.
“Our aim is to provide delicious Italian style food, comfortable surroundings and a friendly service. We’re keen to swap stories and memories people have of their time in Italy. If you haven’t been to Rizzi yet, we hope to welcome you soon.”
Rizzi hosts a baby and toddler morning on Mondays until 11.30am. Customers can enjoy free toast with any order. The venue is pram and breastfeeding friendly and has a disabled access toilet and baby change facilities. They also hold a pensioners morning on Tuesdays when customers can again enjoy free toast with any order. Free wi-fi is available for all customers.
Rizzi’s menu is available to order for eating in and take away Monday-Saturday, 8.30am-5.00pm and Sundays 10.00am to 3.30pm.
