Construction work is progressing well on a new housing development in Mawdesley which is now open to the public and accepting its first reservations.
Jones Homes welcomed the first visitors to St Peter’s Park, at Goodyear Business Park off Gorsey Lane, last month, when the first plots at the development were released for sale – with one keen buyer making their reservation during the launch event.
St Peter’s Park will bring 56 new homes to the local community, including a range of four and five-bedroom detached houses and 21 properties designated as affordable housing for local people.
A show home is due to open on site early next year, when the first homes are due for completion and the first residents set to move in.
As part of the planning agreement for the development, Jones Homes will be investing more than £378,000 in community infrastructure.
This money will include about £98,000 being put towards the construction of a new Scout headquarters on the site. The development will also help secure the future of Goodyear Furniture, which will continue to trade in a new building on the business park.
Carol Barlow, Sales Director of Jones Homes Lancashire, said: “We are delighted with the interest we’ve had in these high-quality houses. Our first property is already reserved, and we would encourage anyone interested to visit the sales centre to find out more.
“As well as providing much-needed new homes for local people, we are proud to be making significant contributions towards the community in Mawdesley as part of the development, which will enhance the area for residents old and new.”
There is a range of four and five-bedroom houses currently available at St Peter’s Park, with prices starting from £389,995.
